Supply requests came in through a call-in line, got written onto forms, and dropped into slots. Inspections were carbon-copy sheets handed to cleaners. Everything depended on someone remembering. “I sat in the room for the first time and everyone’s yelling at each other and trying to figure things out. It was chaos.
