Where is my timecard data stored?
Your timecard data is stored locally in your browser using local storage. It stays on your device and isn’t sent to a server. If you clear your browser data, your timecards will be lost—use the Export CSV feature to back them up regularly.
How does the overtime calculation work?
The tool calculates overtime based on your settings. By default, hours over 40 per week are paid at 1.5× (time and a half). You can adjust the threshold and rate (1.5× or 2×) in the Pay Settings panel.
Can I track multiple employees at once?
Yes! Add employees with the “+ Add Employee” button. Each employee has their own hourly rate and timecard data. Switch between employees by clicking their name in the Saved Employees section.
What does the time rounding feature do?
Time rounding matches common payroll practices. You can round to exact minutes or to the nearest 6, 15, or 30 minutes. For example, with 15-minute rounding, 4.2 hours becomes 4.25 hours (4 hours 15 minutes).
Can I export timecards for my payroll system?
Yes! Click Export CSV to download all timecard data for the selected week and employee. The CSV can be imported into most payroll systems or opened in Excel.
